In the production and processing process of the mechanical industry, although some details are not very noticeable, if we can draw inspiration from them, be able to draw analogies and think creatively, it will still be of great help to our work. Here are some tips provided by a teacher in the machining industry for your reference.
Tip 1: Remove the jaws of the vice and machine two M4 threaded holes. Align two 1.5mm thick steel plates 2 with the jaws, and use aluminum countersunk rivets to rivet on a 0.8mm thick hard brass plate 3. Secure it to the jaws with M4 countersunk screws 1, forming a durable soft jaws. This can also protect hardware parts from being pinched and has interchangeability.
Tip 2: It is not convenient to use a magnet to suck small parts (expensive parts). You can suck an iron plate 2 under magnet 1, which can not only suck many small parts, but also pull the iron plate open. The small parts will immediately tilt into the collection box, which is not enough to move the heart, but it is very practical.
Tip 3: When using a pulley for transmission, the pulley often slips between the wheel and the axle. Use a ¥ 15-18mm drill bit to create a series of grooves on the axle, which can form adsorption force, prevent slipping, and turn waste into treasure. The boss will reward you.
Tip 4: When the handle of the hex wrench is short and cannot exert force, a pipe with an inner diameter slightly larger than the wrench can be milled into a slot and inserted into the slot, which can be used as a long handle.
Tip 5: There is a saying about positioning and clamping the workpiece before tightening it. However, for a workpiece, it should be clamped before positioning because clamping will definitely cause deformation of the workpiece. Therefore, it should be clamped before positioning. For 6-point positioning, find a limit to its degree of freedom.
The above tips and tricks are mostly discovered by employees in their daily work. These tips may not represent anything on the surface, but when you use them more, they can bring many benefits to the company and yourself. I hope everyone can discover these tips and tricks more in their work in the future.
